Specialist walking tour operator Involved Holidays launches its first River Cruise Collection with two brand new itineraries that will depart in 2027.
Extending its portfolio beyond relaxed guided walking holidays for the first time, agents can now sell river cruising along the Rhône and Saône in Provence, and along the Danube from Vienna to Budapest.
This brand-new sales avenue from Involved Holidays opens the operator up for agents that have clients wanting to explore Europe at a slower pace from the water.
The River Collection is now live, and its two itineraries perfectly complement Involved’s wider walking itinerary portfolio. The first sails the Rhône and Saône through sun-drenched Provence, taking guests from the streets of Lyon to the medieval papal palace of Avignon, with excursions along the way into the wetlands of the Camargue and the Roman ruins of Vienne and Arles.
The second follows the Danube – Europe’s second longest river – between the two former Habsburg capitals, Vienna and Budapest.
This carefully planned journey includes three historic capitals, one of Europe’s most stunning Baroque monasteries, the famous Wachau wine region, and a visit to the Hungarian Puszta, complete with two evenings of traditional local entertainment.
These river cruise itineraries are offered on an all-inclusive basis, with flights, transfers and guided excursions included as standard. Crucially, there is no single supplement on either itinerary, allowing solo travellers to explore at the same easy, unhurried pace as couples and groups:
- ‘Sailing through Southern France: the Rhône and Saône’
This seven-night sailing departs on the MS Rhone Princess on 13 July 2027, with prices starting from just £2,499 per person. No single supplements apply.
- ‘The Imperial Cities of the Danube: Vienna to Budapest’
This seven-night sailing departs on the MS Beethoven on 26 July 2027, with prices starting from just £2,599 per person.
