Already popular with UK holidaymakers thanks to its year-round sunshine, colourful markets, rich culture and great-value breaks, Morocco has become a favourite for travellers looking beyond a traditional beach holiday. With flight times of under four hours from the UK, it offers the perfect mix of convenience, culture and warm weather.
Tui already offers holidays to some of Morocco’s best-known destinations, including Marrakech, Agadir and Taghazout, covering everything from city breaks and beach escapes to laid-back resort stays. Now, Fez, Rabat and Tangier join the line-up, giving customers three new ways to experience the country.
Fez, Morocco’s oldest imperial city, is packed with history and character. Its UNESCO-listed medina is home to winding alleyways, colourful souks and centuries-old artisan traditions. Holidaymakers can browse traditional workshops, discover local craftsmanship and enjoy authentic dining experiences. A traditional mint tea costs as little as 8 to 15 Moroccan dirhams – around £1 – making it easy to soak up local culture on a budget.
Further north, Tangier offers a unique blend of cultures and landscapes. Located where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic, the city combines sea views, café culture and a rich history shaped by its position between Europe and Africa. Visitors can explore the old medina, stroll along the waterfront or use the city as a base for trips to Chefchaouen’s famous blue-washed streets. On clear days, they can even see Spain across the Strait of Gibraltar.
For those seeking a slower-paced city break, Rabat combines history, culture and coastal charm. Morocco’s capital is home to landmarks including the Hassan Tower and Kasbah des Oudaias, along with blue-and-white streets, gardens and Atlantic Ocean views. It is also a popular winter-sun destination, with temperatures often reaching 17C to 20C during January and February.
The new destinations complement Tui’s existing Morocco programme, making it easier for customers to tailor a holiday around culture, food, sunshine and discovery.
