Tui says the three-year partnership with SENNIES will increase the level of support available to families with SEN children, including those who are neurodiverse, and provide more inclusive holiday experiences.
Louise Bates, Tui Hotels and resorts director of brands and product, said SENNIES would help Tui review all of its current childcare guidelines and tailor training.
It comes after Tui, earlier this year, introduced two new sensory rooms at its Tui Blue Nausicaa Beach hotel in Larnaca and Tui Blue Aura hotel in Ibiza, featuring soft lighting, interactive sensory equipment and quiet zones.
Guests will also be able to take advantage of visual aids and communication cards to allow children to express their wants and needs more clearly to kids' club hosts.
In addition, Now and Next boards are being introducing in kids' club rooms to help children understand and grasp the flow of a session and be clear about what's coming up next.
'Change needed now'
Bates said it was all part of Tui's push to make its hotels more inclusive and to support families at every stage of their holiday.
"From the booking process to the flight, and for their entire stay in resort, we are working towards becoming the most neuro-friendly travel company possible," she added.
Georgia Sargeant, chief executive and founder of SENNIES, said: "We’re proud to be partnering with Tui to make neuro-inclusive travel a reality for families with neurodivergent children.
"Far too many families have told us they’ve stopped travelling altogether because holidays aren’t designed with their children’s needs in mind. That changes now.
"This is just the beginning, but it marks an important step towards travel that truly works for every family."
