Scheduled to open in 2027, the property is the result of a long-term agreement with Marrakech-based developer Sazanes Immobilier.
Construction has already begun on a 10-hectare agricultural estate, which is located a 25-minute drive from the city centre and one hour from the brand’s existing Atlas Mountains property, Kasbah Tamadot.
“Morocco has an incredible heritage of hospitality, and we are excited to bring our approach of offering exceptional experiences and service with soul to a second Moroccan setting,” said Joe Margison, chief executive of Virgin Hotels Collection. “We are delighted to be partnering with Sazanes Immobilier, who share our long-term vision and commitment to creating extraordinary escapes with people at their heart.”
Agents can expect the development will be released in phases, with bookings scheduled to open in September 2026. The launch of the first 22 keys is slated for Q1 2027, with the final 15 keys due to follow in Q1 2028.
An exclusive residential project is also planned for the site, with further details expected at a later date.
Set within an organic farm featuring citrus orchards and olive groves, the hotel will have three restaurants, a Chef’s Table, and a speakeasy bar using seasonal produce grown on-site. Its wellness offerings include a 40-metre swimming pool and a traditional Moroccan hammam, alongside sports facilities for tennis, padel, and horse riding.
Buildings are designed to integrate with the existing farmland, with architecture utilising local stone and wood, and interiors featuring Moroccan and African artwork.
A versatile events space has also been incorporated to serve as a pop-up exhibition gallery for local artists.
“Our vision for this estate is to create a destination that feels intimately connected to its surroundings, shaped by the land and traditions of Moroccan design,” added The Chreky family, founders of Sazanes Immobilier. “We are delighted to be working with Virgin Limited Edition to bring this vision to life and introduce a new luxury retreat just outside Marrakech."
