Asia specialist Gendai Travel has collapsed, the CAA has confirmed.
Central London-based Gendai, Atol 4192, failed on Monday (21 September).
It traded under the names Go Asia Travel, Japan Travel Centre, JTC Tours, PIC, and PIC UK.
Websites included www.gendai.co.uk, www.japantravel.co.uk, www.japantravel-centre.com, and www.pic-uk.com.
The CAA said customers with Atol-protected bookings would be contacted directly, and warned against using claims forms from previous failures.
Those with flight-only bookings sold by Gendai as an agent under its Iata licence have been advised to contact the airline on their tickets.
Anyone with accommodation-only bookings have been advised to contact Abta.
According to the company’s website, Gendai was founded in 1978, with its primary focus being to support Japanese customers living in the UK.
