Celebrity Cruises has held its third consecutive fleet-wide Pride celebration culminating with a Pride Party at Sea.
Throughout June, the line has marked Pride Month with crew, staff and guests taking part in a variety of multigenerational LGBTQ+ events and activities.
The Pride Party at Sea at the weekend, acted as the finale of the festivities – taking place onboard 10 vessels including Celebrity’s newest, Celebrity Edge, while the ship was in Ibiza.
US figure skater Adam Rippon (pictured centre) joined the party onboard as grand marshal of the festival.
The Pride Party at Sea took place in tandem across the Celebrity fleet, with each ship “handing the party baton” to the next to keep the festivities running across hemispheres and time zones.
In the end, the party travelled more than 10,000 miles to 10 ships around the world.
Thousands of guests have attended the event – which Celebrity said had been planned "as a show of solidarity" with the LGBTQ+ community – since its inception in 2017.
Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, Celebrity Cruises president and chief executive, said: “We are passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion year-round but Pride Month provides a special opportunity not only to promote Pride but also to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and honour all they have fought for and accomplished."
Rippon added: “I’m so incredibly honoured and excited to be back again celebrating Pride Month with Celebrity Cruises... I love having the opportunity to partner with brands who genuinely care for and joyfully celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.”
