Gold Medal and Travel 2 parent dnata Travel Group has launched its first graduate management scheme.
The initiative will target “ambitious” 2020 university leavers keen to build a career in the travel sector.
It will initially be open to six individuals; applicants can come from any academic field, but must have achieved at least a 2:1 degree classification and be eligible to work in the UK.
Applicants should also be driven, passionate about travel and able to work as part of a team, while demonstrating a willingness to challenge norms and come up with solutions.
Over the course of the two-year rotational programme, successful candidates will spend time with both dnata’s B2B and B2C brands across a variety of departments including finance, marketing, sales and operations, IT, HR and product.
During this time, they will learn on the job, helping to solve business challenges and contributing to the group’s continued evolution and growth, while also working towards a masters in Leadership with the Ashridge Business School.
Upon successful completion of the two-year programme, candidates will be invited to apply for management positions anywhere in the business. Further information can be found on the dnata Travel Group careers website.
Dnata held a roadshow promoting the scheme at Edge Hill University earlier this month, and will promote it at the University of Central Lancashire, Glasgow University and Lancaster University over the coming weeks.
Anna Ricketts, head of people resourcing at dnata Travel Group, said: “We’re looking for dnata Travel Group’s leaders of the future with this scheme and expect it to bring exciting new talent in to the business.
“The diversity and scope of our business is unrivalled, and we’re confident that anyone who joins us through the scheme will learn an enormous amount. Whatever your interest, background, location or degree choice, we want to hear from you.”
Interested candidates can apply online and, if shortlisted, will be invited to attend a phone or video interview in the New Year.
Finalists will be invited to attend an assessment centre shortly afterwards and permanent offers of employment will be made in the spring ready for a September 2020 start.
