G Adventures has strengthened its partnership with National Geographic with the launch of a programme of family holidays.
Twelve tours will be progressively revealed before the on-sale date of May 7 for departures in 2020. They are aimed at families with children aged seven-plus, as well as adults up to grandparent age.
G Adventures and National Geographic first joined forces in 2015 with the launch of National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures, a programme of small group tours that will run 89 trips in 53 countries during 2019.
Brian Young, G Adventures’ Europe, Middle East and Africa managing director, said the move to cater to the family market was a natural extension of an already successful partnership with the magazine.
“This new programme of trips is perfect for adventure-loving families looking to discover the world together,” he said.
“The newly designed itineraries have been developed from scratch to inspire travellers of all ages to uncover each destination’s diverse characteristics, from wildlife and conservation to history and culture, exploration, photography and storytelling.”
The tours are on sale across all G Adventures’ markets, meaning the clientele in each group will be international, something the operator says is an added attraction.
Trips are bookable through agents, with the new itineraries to be revealed on a dedicated page on the G Adventures website.
Each journey will be accompanied by two chief experience officers, specially trained to engage with younger clients, while child-friendly meal options will be offered throughout. Dedicated family trip specialists will oversee the booking process and National Geographic will supply pre-departure materials.
The group size is “usually” 20 or less and all departures are guaranteed to run once booked.
