Jet2 has announced it will add two brand new Greek destinations for summer 2020.
The carrier will debut Lesvos (Mytilene) and Peloponnese (Kalamata) next summer, with flights from Manchester and Stansted set to get under way in May.
The additions grow Jet2.com’s Greek route network to some 12 destinations in total and further fills in capacity lost following the collapse of Thomas Cook.
Jet2 said that the move came in response to “enormous demand” from holidaymakers and follows the addition earlier this year of Skiathos and Preveza.
Twice-weekly Manchester-Lesvos (Thursdays and Sundays) and weekly Stansted-Lesvos (Sunday) flights will get under way on 2 May 2020, operating through 10 October.
Twice-weekly Manchester-Kalamata (Wednesdays and Sundays) and weekly Stansted-Lesvos (Sunday) flights, meanwhile, mark Jet2’s first foray to the Peloponnese.
Both routes will launch on 3 May 2020, operating through 1 November.
Jet2’s 12 Greek destinations for summer 2020 are: Lesvos; Peloponnese; Skiathos; Preveza; Corfu; Crete (Heraklion); Crete (Chania); Kefalonia; Kos; Rhodes; Halkidiki; and Zante.
Steve Heapy, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays chief executive, said: “The addition of flights and holidays to Lesvos and Peloponnese is yet more fantastic news for holidaymakers and independent travel agents.
“There has been enormous demand for these two spectacular destinations from Manchester and London Stansted Airports, and we are sure that our flights and holidays will be hugely popular with holidaymakers in both destinations.
“Our summer 20 programme continues to grow, and with twelve Greek destinations now on sale, we are offering holidaymakers more choice and flexibility than ever before.”
