Crieff-based Travel Inspired traded under the names Conor Campbell Travel, Holiday Hunter UK, KS Travel Services and Race Weekend Breaks.

Florida Direct, based in Warrington, also traded under the name USA Direct.

It was licensed for 1,020 Atol-protected passengers in the year to the end of September 2024. 

Both companies operated under a franchise agreement with Protected Trust Services (PTS).

PTS took on the bookings of Florida Direct after the operator ceased trading on 31 October. 

Earlier this month Daniel Landen, PTS chief executive, said: “Protected Trust Services are aware that Florida Direct Ltd ceased trading. 

“Consumer protection is of paramount importance to PTS. If customers believe they may be affected, they are urged to reach out to us.

“Our PTS team is working with those impacted to address and resolve their concerns. We will do our utmost to ensure that every traveller sees their booking fulfilled or refunded.”
