An industry veteran has launched a new tool for agents to tap into the increasingly ‘lucrative’ luxury wellness sector.
Created by Ernestina Bertarini, ‘SHARE’ is a B2B platform that connects advisors with ‘sustainable holistic aspirational retreats experiences.’
The idea is simple: agents register on the website and, once approved, they will have access to a directory of more than 25 luxury wellness properties around the world.
They will also have the opportunity to attend webinars and seminars led by health and wellness experts, enter competitions to win fam trips, and network with suppliers and other advisors.
“Our mission, ultimately, is to make wellness approachable,” Bertarini told TTG Luxury. “A lot of designers find it really challenging and they don’t know where to start.”
She added that SHARE is currently developing a training programme for agents who’d like to specialise in wellness, an industry that’s projected to reach $9.8 trillion by 2029.
Bertarini, who was previously director of sales and marketing for the likes of Anantara, Raffles and Minor Hotels, says SHARE will equip agents with the tools to sell “a very niche” segment.
Members will learn about everything from Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine to biohacking and cryotherapy, giving them the language and knowledge to properly advise their clients.
“These aren’t hotels followed by the ‘spa’ word, or hotels with one tiny treatment room,” insisted Bertarini. “They need to have a fully-developed wellness concept.”
Guests can expect unique properties like Lanserhof Sylt, a sleep clinic in the North Sea, and Palace Merano, recognised as a leader in clinical wellness solutions.
Other partners include Dwarika’s Sanctuary in the Himalayas, Chiva Som in Hua Hin and Revivo Wellness in Bali.
SHARE currently has 600 travel designers signed up, with a long-term goal of reaching 15,000.
“At the moment, we are concentrating on Europe, where we’ve found clients to be a bit more receptive to this concept,” Bertarini said. “People in Europe tend to have more holidays than their American and Asian counterparts, so they can stay longer.”
Bertarini also hopes to increase its supplier count to 100 members, with plans to welcome properties in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, South Africa and Bhutan.
“We want to feature properties worldwide, and we want the hotel to be a destination in and of itself,” she explained.
