Jet2 is adding the island of Santorini to its destination portfolio for summer next year.
The route is Jet2.com’s and Jet2holidays’ sixth new Greek destination for summer 2020, alongside Mykonos, Lesvos, Kalamata, Skiathos and Preveza.
Flights to Santorini will be available from early May to late October at Birmingham, Manchester and London Stansted airports.
They will be twice-weekly on Thursdays and Saturdays from Manchester, and weekly on Tuesdays from Birmingham and London Stansted.
There are nearly 40,000 seats on sale for the destination.
“Santorini is famous for its beauty and scenery, and we are absolutely delighted to be launching flights and holidays to such a popular and stunning destination,” said Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays offer 14 Greek destinations in total, including the six which are new for next summer.
Emy Anagnostopoulou, director at the Greek National Tourism Organisation’s UK and Ireland Office, said: “We would like to thank everyone at Jet2.com for believing in Greece as a unique and authentic destination and for their constant support.
“We are confident that their customers will not only enjoy Santorini’s celebrated light, the multi-coloured cliffs with the white-washed Cycladic houses, the breathtaking views of the Caldera and the delicious gastronomy of the island, but they will also discover its unique cultural treasures like the Akrotiri settlement.”
