At its height, around 120 firefighters across 20 fire crews attended the blaze at the hotel in William Street, Knightsbridge, on June 6, with footage from the scene showing flames cascading through the roof of the building.
While no one was hurt, the hotel has been forced to close its doors - and will only partially reopen this winter.
However, it has this week pledged to retain all 600 members of hotel staff, some of whom are currently on temporary transfer to other Mandarin Oriental properties.
Their remaining 400 colleagues, in the meantime, have been doing their bit to give something back to the community that rallied round them following the fire.
And in the months leading to the hotel’s reopening, staff have been working hard to contribute to Mandarin Oriental’s FANtastic London initiative.
In total, staff are expected to dedicate more than 40,000 working hours to the scheme through a variety of London charities supporting the capital’s vulnerable people, as well as hospitals and London Fire Brigade.
