Work will start in the next few months on Tui Magic Life Agadir, which will feature 427 rooms, three pools and a sports and entertainment programme reflecting the Magic Life concept.
The opening in the Moroccan resort is scheduled for summer 2027, making the all-inclusive property the 16th under the Magic Life brand.
Tui already has the Tui Blue Riu Tikida Beach and Robinson Agadir in the resort. With the latest addition, it will have 12 own-brand properties in Morocco and more than 4,000 rooms.
Peter Krueger, chief executive of Tui’s Holiday Experiences, said: “We are making targeted investments in high-demand destinations and regional clusters to continuously grow our portfolio while maintaining the high quality standards our guests have come to expect.
“The agreement of our 500th hotel project is a significant milestone, and the next target is already set.”
Tui Group currently operates 433 hotels, and plans to have 600 “in the medium term”.
Africa is one of the major areas of investment; as well as north and west Africa, Tui is committing to developments in Zanzibar. Others in Cape Verde Senegal, Gambia and Kenya are planned.
Tui also plans to double the number of hotels it operates in Asia over the next three years, with 21 in the pipeline.
They include nine developments in China, three in Thailand, two in Indonesia, two in Cambodia, two in the Maldives, two in Vietnam and one in the Philippines.
Separately, Tui and Royalton CHIC Resorts have announced a joint project in Jamaica.
An existing hotel in Runaway Bay is now being redesigned and is expected to open in late 2026 as the Royalton CHIC Jamaica Paradise Cove. The hotel will be an Autograph Collection adults-only all-inclusive.
The deal for the 345-room hotel brings the Royalton brand to Jamaica for the first time. Tui is a shareholder in Royalton and already operates 78 Caribbean hotels.
