Tourism Ireland’s Claire Brosnan has joined Air Transat as the airline’s new UK and Ireland marketing manager.
Brosnan’s role will involve developing integrated marketing plans across radio, print and public channels.
She will also assume responsibility for promoting Air Transat to the travel trade in the UK and in Ireland.
During her six years with Tourism Ireland, where she most recently held the role of senior consumer marketing executive, Brosnan’s focus was on promoting the nation as a holiday destination in North America, Australia, the UK and Ireland itself.
Adrian Keating, Air Transat commercial director UK and Ireland, said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Claire to Air Transat.
"Her experience working in international markets during her time at Tourism Ireland makes her a great addition to our team, and I’m looking forward to seeing how she helps us to elevate our marketing strategies to the next level.”
Brosnan said it was an exciting time to join Air Transat, adding she was looking forward to spearheading campaigns that would capture the imaginations of existing and new customers.
The airline has operated to the UK for more than 30 years, flying to and from Gatwick, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin.
