The airline and operator has added an extra 300 flights, amounting to around 60,000 additional seats.
Extra capacity will be available from May through to October.
It means Jet2 will base up to nine aircraft at Newcastle next summer, flying to 35 destinations including mainland Spain, the Canaries and Balearics, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Italy.
At the summer peak, Jet2 will operate up to 125 flights a week from Newcastle.
Steve Heapy, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays chief executive, said: "Although there continues to be huge pent-up demand for summer 2021, bookings for next summer are looking very encouraging as customers in the north east look to plan ahead and get a much-needed holiday locked into their diaries.
"This demand applies throughout the summer season, so we are expanding our programme and adding extra based aircraft to enable us to put on more flights to the sunshine for customers travelling from Newcastle airport."

Jet2’s expanded summer 2022 programme at Newcastle airport will run:
- Mainland Spain – extra services to Malaga (up to nine weekly services), Alicante (up to ten weekly services) and Reus (up to four weekly services);
- Canary Islands – extra services to Lanzarote (up to six weekly services), Fuerteventura (up to three weekly services), Tenerife (up to eight weekly services) and Gran Canaria (up to three weekly services);
- Balearic Islands – extra services to Ibiza (up to seven weekly services) and Majorca (up to 13 weekly services);
- Turkey – additional services on sale to Antalya means up to eight weekly services;
- Greece – Additional services to Corfu (up to three weekly services), Crete Heraklion (up to three weekly services), Rhodes (up to three weekly services) and Kos (up to two weekly services);
- Cyprus – extra services added to both Paphos and Larnaca meaning up to three weekly services to both destinations;
- Bulgaris – up to two weekly services operating during the peak holiday season to Bourgas (Sunny Beach);
- Italy – up to two weekly services to Rome in May and June as well as September and October.
