The global luxury group assumed management of the 66-room Caribbean hotel this week and is to rebrand it as Rosewood Le Guanahani St Barth.

The hotel will remain closed until Spring 2021 when it will reopen under the new name and following an extensive rebuild, including renovation of all rooms, suites and villas, many with new private pools added.

Updated amenities will include a new beachfront dining concept and ocean-facing pool, Rosewood Explorers children’s club, fitness centre, tennis court, event spaces, and Sense, A Rosewood Spa.

“This is an extraordinary opportunity for the Le Guanahani team to join Rosewood’s global network and stand alongside sister properties such as the iconic Hotel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel in Paris, Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos and The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel, in New York City and the soon to be open Rosewood Sao Paulo in Brasil,” said hotel managing director Martein van Wagenberg.

“This marks for me the return to the Rosewood family, having held similar positions at Rosewood Little Dix Bay and Las Ventanas al Paraiso. We are delighted to launch a new chapter of Le Guanahani’s storied legacy with Rosewood by our side.”

Bookings will be available for Spring 2021 from October onwards.
