Insight Vacations is launching Luxury Gold this week, a new brochure aimed at showcasing the very best of its premium product.
Luxury Gold 2016 has been sent to selected agents, but director of sales at Insight Vacations Paul Melinis said the sales team would be keen to talk to agents who want to find out more.
“Our sales team are more than happy to get on the road and visit agents at their convenience to talk about the potential in selling luxury touring and the type of clients it appeals to,” said Melinis. “We want to help agents understand the story behind Luxury Gold and perhaps change some perceptions of touring – our demographic is baby-boomers looking for real experiences and they have big purchasing potential, so we want agents to get behind that.”
Babyboomers – typically born 1946-1964 – represent 24% of UK outbound travellers and hold 80% of the nation’s wealth, Melinis said. “That’s who Luxury Gold will really be suited to – curious travellers who like their comforts too,” he added.
There are 30 itineraries featured in Luxury Gold across Europe, India, Bhutan, Nepal, US, Hawaii, Canada and South America.
“We picked the most in-demand destinations, but there’s definitely room to expand what we make available in Luxury Gold,” Melinis said. “We’ve built it around four pillars really – hotels, dining, service and experiences. Every European Luxury Gold itinerary includes a meal at a Michelin-starred restaurant.”
Insight Vacations is also launching an incentive that could see two agents sample a Luxury Gold itinerary for themselves in France and Monaco.
The two top-selling agents by May 31 will get to join other top agents from around the world to experience the French Elegance with Monaco Extension trip in August; agents can enter their bookings as many times as they like, Melinis said. “Around 80-85% of our business comes from the trade so we’re heavily focused on helping agents,” he said.
Prices for Luxury Gold start from £3,250pp, including flights, VIP pick-ups from home and private transfers to and from the start and end hotels.
