The UK, Denmark and Norway will no longer be considered "virus variant" countries from Monday (24 January).
This means people who are fully vaccinated or those who have recovered from the virus can enter Austria with a negative PCR test, valid for 72 hours, or proof of a booster jab received at least 120 days after the second shot without the need to quarantine.
Proof of recovery within the past 180 days also counts as a booster, the Austrian National Tourist Office confirmed.
Children under the age of 12 do not need proof of vaccination or a PCR test.
Teenagers 12 and over and born on or after 1 September 2006 who are not yet fully vaccinated can download a "Holiday Ninja Pass" to enter the country.
The same rules for adults apply for teenagers born before September 2006.
