Cheapflights has appointed its first tourist board partnerships manager, as it seeks to build relationships with organisations that focus on both inbound demand to the UK as well as outbound travel to overseas destinations.
Former account manager Adam Forsdike has been promoted to the role, reporting into Ricky Wilkes, head of sales for the UK and emerging markets.
Cheapflights will also be sponsoring the Tourist Board of the Year category at the 2016 TTG Travel Awards.
Commenting on his new appointment, Forsdike said: “I’m really excited… to help destinations promote themselves to our travel-hungry audience. With our bespoke integrated campaigns across our site, email, app, display, digital, content, above-the-line activity and social channels, we can inspire users at the top of the funnel to support clients in hitting their targets.
“We are already working with a number of organisations to create bespoke solutions that provide maximum exposure.”
Andrew Shelton, managing director of Cheapflights added: “Adam’s appointment, and our partnership with TTG for their annual awards, is a statement of our intention to invest in rapidly expanding and deepening our links with the tourist board community.
“We’re also delighted to be supporting TTG’s awards. It’s a great night in the industry calendar.”
