Former Thomas Cook retail chief Joanna Wild has been appointed chief commercial officer at Leeds Bradford airport.
Following a lengthy spell working for Thomas Cook Airlines, Wild joined Cook’s retail division in 2004 and was appointed managing director in 2010.
She joins the Yorkshire airport following several years working in consultancy while holding a number of non-executive board positions.
Report to chief executive Hywel Rees, Wild will focus on strategic commercial priorities for the airport, including airline partnerships and passenger experience.
Wild said she was looking forward to helping deliver a successful aviation and commercial strategy, with working closely with airlines and travel retailers.
Rees added Wild’s appointment was part of the airport’s drive to grow passenger numbers, add new regional and international routes, and deliver higher quality service.
