G Adventures has extended the suspension of all departing tours up to the end of July.
The tour operator has also suspended all G Expedition departures up to the end of August due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
G Adventures said its main priority was the health and safety of passengers and staff, and was following guidance from Abta in taking the decision to further suspend departures.
Clients who do not wish to rebook their trips to a later date will receive a refund credit note (RCN) for 100% of the amount paid, plus a 10% travel credit, which can be used on any future tour departing up to two years from the end of the month of their original tour’s suspension.
G Adventures added that those customers seeking a cash refund will receive their money back “as soon as possible, and no later than 31 January 2021”, with their money protected in the interim by the RCN.
The operator said it had not cancelled tours due to depart in August (except for G Expedition departures) because it wanted to “keep the door open in the event the current situation evolves in a way that enables us to travel again”.
Although clients who are booked on tours departing up to 30 September are also being given the option to transfer their booking to a later departure date for the same price.
