Spielberg films outside Holidaysplease offices

Director Richard Dixon said in the last few days military vehicles have been chasing down US postal vans while crowds of people wearing virtual reality goggles look on, just 100 yards from his headquarters’ front door.

“In just a few days they have turned the area into a post-apocalypse disaster zone with graffiti and burnt out cars everywhere. And no I don’t want any jokes about it being an improvement for Birmingham.”

Spielberg has been using the Jewellery Quarter to film scenes for Ready Player One, a sci-fi movie set in 2044.

Dixon said Holidaysplease staff are using their lunch breaks to go celebrity spotting and Spielberg has been spotted multiple times.

“In just a few days they have turned the area into a post-apocalypse disaster zone with graffiti and burnt out cars everywhere,” said Dixon.

“And no I don’t want any jokes about it being an improvement for Birmingham.”
