Not Just Travel consultant Ben Casey recorded a 30% uptick in business in January compared with the same month in 2022, as bookings for "milestone" holidays continue to prove popular in 2023.
Casey’s average booking value for January 2023 was up 57% on January 2022 from £6,252 to £9,818.
He said his luxury concierge service is in high demand as people book high-ticket luxury and "bucket-list" trips, with champagne on arrival, lounge passes and fast-track security.
Casey’s success story hasn’t been the only one for Not Just Travel at the start of the year.
Consultant Suzy Blyth booked a £62,000 Caribbean trip to a private island off the coast of Antigua for a couple’s 40th birthday and Katie Welch secured a £47,000 holiday to the Galapagos and Turks and Caicos with a stopover in Miami.
Elsewhere, Nikki Peachy put together a South Africa package for a family totalling £40,00 and Sarah-Louise Jolliff booked a client on a ten-night, business class, twin-centre holiday to Mauritius.
The increase in "bucket-list" holidays comes as consumers look to book luxury getaways to celebrate milestone occasions, NJT said.
High-value holidays to mark anniversaries, weddings and landmark birthdays are becoming the norm for the brand, with consumers eager to invest in unforgettable shared experiences.
Steve Witt, co-founder of Not Just Travel, said: "Bucket list holidays used to be a rarity for consumers; they were big purchases you’d save for and do once.
"Today the trend is ’milestone’ holidays which are happening more and more frequently. After Covid, people changed priorities and realised travel and doing the things they want are more important than ever."
