Sarah Morgan and Liz Savage join the board after Intrepid posted three years’ record growth, and is now looking towards the “next phase” of its expansion.
It is the first time Intrepid has grown its board since returning to independent ownership in 2015.
Intrepid Group chief executive James Thornton said having two “extremely high calibre individuals” join the board was a “huge endorsement” for the business, its expansion plans and purpose.
Morgan and Savage join Thornton on the board alongside Intrepid’s co-founders Darrell Wade, who is also executive chairman, and Geoff Manchester.
The appointments also grow female representation on the Intrepid board to 40%.
“As we grow, we need to continue to bring diversity of opinion and new expertise to the table,” said Thornton.
“Not only because it provides fresh perspective on any challenges we will face, but because it provides the platform for the innovative thinking we believe will continue to drive our growth with purpose.”
Morgan brings significant business experience to the Intrepid board as a corporate advisor and professional investor who has worked on significant transactions across a range of industries.
Savage, meanwhile, has enjoyed stints with some of the world’s largest airlines and is now a full-time company director.
