Uncertainty around international travel is "still rife" amongst UK travellers, with less than a third saying they would consider going on holiday this year.
According to a survey of 2,000 UK holidaymakers, run by Eurofins Covid Testing Services (ECTS), only 28% have considered going abroad this year.
However, it also revealed that more than half of respondents (52%) stated they have saved up more for their return to international travelling than they would have done pre-Covid.
As a result, more than half of UK holidaymakers have more than £2,500 reportedly stashed-away for their next overseas break.
Despite their savings and willingness to eventually travel again, ECTS said travellers are still "held back by ever-changing travel requirements and concerns on safety".
ECTS managing director, Nick Phillips, said the past 18 months has "totally disrupted travel plans, and now all Brits want are safe and hassle-free travel experiences".
"To support those who dream of travelling again, Eurofins has introduced an extensive network of 150 Covid-19 testing sites in the UK, with twice-daily sample collections to ensure swift and reliable delivery to laboratories," he added.
