The five-times-weekly route will resume from 1 June, flying on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Flights will depart Manchester at 12.15pm, arriving Toronto at 2.55pm. Returns will depart Toronto at 9pm, arriving Manchester at 9am (+1).
Air Canada will operate the route using a 297-passenger Airbus A330-300 aircraft with three classes – Signature (first), Premium Economy and Economy.
The carrier offers onward connections to its north American network, including 46 US airports.
“This is very exciting news for our customers in Manchester who can start planning their next trip to rediscover Canada,” said Stephen Gerrard, Air Canada general manager sales UK and Ireland.
“Our non-stop flight between Manchester and Toronto will provide our customers in the north west of England with a direct link to Canada and beyond. We look forward to welcoming our customers back onboard.”
Manchester airport interim managing director Ian Costigan added: “The service to Toronto is fantastic news for companies large and small across the north who do business with Canada, and also for tourism and those visiting friends and family. It is also great to see the carrier return with its mainline service, offering a high-quality product with both business and premium economy classes.”
