Much Better Adventures has appointed Airbnb’s Tanya Rinaldi to a US-based role.
Rinaldi, who managed the launch and growth of Airbnb Adventures, has been appointed US head of adventure to support the company’s international growth.
In her previous role as global Airbnb adventure market manager, Rinaldi promoted Airbnb’s range of multi-day experiences before the pandemic struck and her role became redundant.
Rinaldi, who will be based in California, said: "MBA is one of those companies that comes along once in a blue moon where you say ‘they are really special and I want to be a part of that’. Their ambition is inspiring so I feel extremely lucky to have joined the MBA team."
Much Better Adventures co-founder Sam Bruce added: "Tanya brings with her a wealth of experience, particularly in the US market, so we are all delighted to have her onboard.
"Our sales have held up relatively well this year despite everything – much better than we expected. We know there’s massive global pent up demand for adventure travel in 2021/22 and beyond which Tanya has come in to help us serve."
Much Better Adventures currently offers 130-plus adventures in 47 countries, with 5% of revenues funding conservation and supporting remote families affected by Covid-19.
