The company said its leisure travel trading figures are now at 127% compared to pre-pandemic levels.
Travel Counsellors said the influx comes following the removal of the UK government’s amber list, changes to the red list and the reopening of the US borders.
On week commencing 8 November, leisure bookings reportedly traded at 135% compared to 2019 levels, while corporate bookings were at 87%.
Most leisure bookings made were for January 2022 departures – led by the USA (12% of all January bookings), then Spain (12%), Barbados (9%) and the UAE (9%).
Jim Eastwood, global sales director for Travel Counsellors, said the demand for holidays "keeps growing week by week" as consumer confidence rises.
"Moreover, as well as exceeding our leisure travel trading figures, we have also seen a 30% increase in our leisure customers in the last month, which shows that trusted travel advice is now more important than ever," he added.
