The TTG car park was transformed into a Gunger Games arena on Wednesday, as White Hart Associates’ Chris Photi had four buckets of slime poured over his hear for charity.
Charged with the gunging was All Leisure Group chief Roger Allard, who, upon pushing the button, declared: “You now see a slimy accountant.”
Photi held a sign reading: "Allard rigged the vote."
The pair had gone up against Cosmos Tours & Cruises’ Giles Hawke and TTG Media’s Daniel Pearce in the Gunger Games, in aid of Abta LifeLine.
TTG Travel Awards guests and colleagues donated money on the Justgiving website to see one of the four face the slime.
Photi was the winner, with £3,131, closely followed by Allard, who saw £1,971 donated towards his cause.
After rallying the trade to vote for Photi to face the gunge, Allard has decided to double his adversary’s donations, taking the grand total to almost £8,500.
Abta LifeLine awards financial grants to help colleagues suffering financial hardship caused by life-changing medical conditions, bereavement, disability and domestic violence, among other things.
Donations can still be made on the Justgiving pages.
