The former chair of Monarch has joined Cosmos Tours, TTG has learned.
Documents from Companies House show that Hugh Morgan was appointed as a director on November 18.
The former managing director of seat-only broker Avro, Michael Vinales, has also joined the company.
In a statement Cosmos Tours said: "Cosmos Tours Ltd confirms that it has strengthened its board of directors with the appointments of Hugh Morgan, Michael Vinales and Samuel Parker.
"Hugh has been appointed to represent the company’s shareholders in the UK and will continue in the role previously held by Fabio Mantegazza whilst Michael joins as business development director.
"Formerly Head of Finance for the business, Samuel becomes Finance Director.
"All three bring to the business decades of experience and will position the company to take full advantage of the growth of opportunities in today’s fast changing travel industry."
Headed up by Alan MacLean, managing director, no other changes have been made to the board.
Morgan left the Monarch Travel Group a year ago, after being appointed chairman in November 2013, and having served as managing director since July 2010.
He had been with the Monarch Group since 2002, but stepped down shortly after the company completed a last minute rescue deal with private equity firm Greybull Capital in October 2014.
As part of the deal, the Monarch Group became a separate entity, while Cosmos Tours was retained by the former owners of Monarch, the Swiss-based Mantegazza family.
Last month Monarch revealed that it was dropping the Cosmos brand as it distanced itself from its former sister companies.
