Regent Seven Seas Cruises has announced plans for a $125 million renovation of its existing fleet of ships.
The two-year programme will begin with the refurbishment of Seven Seas Navigator in spring 2016 followed by Seven Seas Voyager late this year and Seven Seas Mariner in spring 2017.
Public spaces and suites will be refurbished when Navigator goes into dry dock in Marseille on March 31, including all lounges, reception area, restaurants, shops, casino and library.
Regent’s chief operating officer Jason Montague said: “Seven Seas Navigator is one of our most beloved ships, so it’s fitting that she is the first to undergo this extraordinary refurbishment.
“These renovations will bring a new level of elegance to the Regent Seven Seas Cruises fleet, strengthening our position as the undisputed leader in luxury cruising, operating the most luxurious ships at sea.”
Navigator’s refurbishment is scheduled to be completed by April 10, when the 490-passenger ship is due to embark on a 10-night French Riviera itinerary.
Regent is part of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ group of cruise lines, which also includes Norwegian Cruise Line and Oceania Cruises.
