The new build Casa Cook Chania, which will open in September, is the collection’s first family hotel with a bespoke kids concept.

It follows the opening of Casa Cook Rhodes in 2016 and Casa Cook Kos last summer.

Located on a hillside, the 45-room, village-like resort stands on the outskirts of the historic harbour city of Chania.

It was developed with the help of “leading figures in child education and family travel”, as well as a group of 25 children, with the programme enabling children to learn and explore in a natural and creative environment.

The resort will have dedicated areas for both young children and teens who will be able to take part in cooking classes, painting workshops and sleepovers in a teepee.

The hotel has seven different room-types with each room accommodating a minimum of two adults and one child with larger suites and interconnected rooms available for bigger families or groups of friends.

Many rooms offer shared or private pools and all rooms have retractable glass walls opening on to a private terrace or pool.

A central pavilion will offer group and private yoga classes, as well as training equipment for individual workouts with personal trainers on hand. Massages will be provided in a nomad-style tent.

Meanwhile a series of excursions and activities have been designed to “help guests explore the best that Crete has to offer”.
