Situated within the former US Embassy at Grosvenor Square, The Chancery Rosewood is now accepting reservations for stays from 1st September, 2025.
The Grade II listed building has been restored by British architect Sir David Chipperfield, with its 144 suites and communal spaces all designed by French interior specialist Joseph Dirand.
There will also be six individual ‘houses’, the largest of which can accommodate up to eight guests. A number of the houses come with their own fully-equipped kitchens, including its penthouse, which boasts a fireplace, grand piano, and landscaped terrace.
The property will have eight restaurants and bars, including the first European branch of New York’s iconic Italian bistro, Carbone, and a new Asian concept restaurant. Its seventh floor will be the home the Eagle Bar, inspired by the building’s gilded eagle sculpture that dates back its 1960 opening.
Guests can also expect a large wellness facility called Asaya Spa, featuring a fitness centre, a 25 metre indoor swimming pool and five treatment rooms.
Other highlights include a ‘state of the art’ ballroom with a capacity of up to 750 people, as well several upscale retail outlets and additional meeting spaces.
“As we draw nearer to opening the doors of The Chancery Rosewood, we are excited to bring a new level of luxury and cultural vibrancy to London,” said Michael Bonsor, managing director at The Chancery Rosewood.
“With an exceptional blend of history, contemporary design, and unique culinary experiences, this landmark destination will set the stage for a dynamic and immersive social scene in Mayfair. Our commitment to hyper-personalised service and curated experiences will ensure every visit feels uniquely enriching and unforgettable.”
The Chancery Rosewood also promises to introduce a “dynamic cultural programme”, which hopes to solidify its status as a “vibrant destination for both local and global tastemakers.”
