Classic Collection is inviting agents to take part in online training for its new Indian Ocean programme after bolstering its long-haul team with a string of appointments.
The session, taking place at 10am on Thursday (19 November), will focus on the Maldives, Sri Lanka and Mauritius.
It will be co-presented by Jordan Torrilla, who recently joined the operator’s long-haul department as product and purchasing manager for Africa, Asia, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, alongside national account manager Gemma Lazenby.
Classic has also appointed four new worldwide travel consultants with more than 60 years of experience in luxury long-haul travel.
To support its Indian Ocean programme, Classic has created a promotional video showcasing the region available as a download to agents and a new brochure will be available in print and digitally in early 2021.
Agents wishing to register for a place for the training, which will also feature the chance to win Indian Ocean property stays and Fortnum and Mason gifts, should email agencysales@classic-collection.co.uk.
Agency sales and marketing director Si Morris-Green said: “Classic is bringing its brand of attentive service and expertise in crafting personalised luxury holidays to the Indian Ocean.
“Agents will be aware how much our portfolio of long-haul destinations has grown recently, and can be reassured that behind the brochures we’ve been busy appointing the most trusted destination management companies, recruiting experienced long-haul travel consultants and engaging a product team for Africa, Asia, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
“By joining our training session, agents will see that we’re also bringing competitive prices and choice with investment in our reservations system giving us the flexibility to book properties beyond our brochures.
“In what has been an unprecedented year for the travel trade, when demand returns strongly in 2021, we want agents to be well positioned to reap the benefits of enhanced commission and repeat custom that high value, long-haul bookings can bring.”
