Swansea-based tour operator Cruise Nation has welcomed the current Miss Wales onboard as a brand ambassador.
Ffion Moyle visited the operator’s headquarters in the city suburb of Llansamlet to try out its new range of “bespoke” uniforms - created for its 50-strong team.
The uniforms are part of a deal between the cruise specialist and local manufacturer First Corporate Clothing.
Phil Evans, co-founder and managing director of Cruise Nation said the operator was aiming to employ “a
further 30 people” over the next 12-18 months and having Moyles to promote the brand was “fantastic”.
Cruise Nation is set to open an interactive shop in Swansea later this year on the back of launching its own homeworking division in 2016.
Evans added that its partnership with the Port Talbort-based company was important to support the Welsh manufacturing industry.
“First Corporate are a great company in Port Talbot who are very passionate about making and producing everything in the UK,” he said.
“The manufacturing industry in Wales has taken a few knocks over the last few years due to rising costs rises and not being able to compete with overseas competition.
“The uniform will be perfect for our team in readiness for when we launch our new state-of-the-art TV studio and walk-in retail centre for the public this summer.”
Moyle added: “The uniform is a great vibrant colour, comfortable and the one piece dress and jacket is a lovely tailored fit – the staff are so lucky to be wearing this daily as it’s so elegant and reminds me of being dressed at Miss World in Washington this year.”
