EasyJet has announced three new routes from Belfast, with fares on sale from Thursday (July 12).
The low-cost carrier has added Fuerteventura, Prague and Salzburg for winter 2018, taking its total Belfast routes to 32.
Its twice-weekly Prague service, flying Mondays and Fridays, will start on October 29. Fares lead in from £24.68pp one way.
Flying Wednesdays and Saturdays, easyJet’s new twice-weekly Fuerteventura service will start on October 31, with one way fares from £26.70pp.
Finally, twice-weekly flights to Salzburg on Thursdays and Sundays will get under way on December 13, leading in at £24.68pp one way.
EasyJet says the new routes underlines its commitment to Belfast, where it last month based another aircraft, taking its total fleet dedicated to the northern Irish capital up to six.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, said: “We are pleased to further strengthen our network at Belfast with these three new routes, which we believe will prove popular additions to our existing network. We have operated flights to and from Belfast International airport for more than 18 years and remain committed to expansion at the airport.”
Uel Hoey, Belfast International airport business development director, added the move was a “tremendous boost” for Northern Ireland: “This is a win-win-win for the airline, airport and Northern Ireland. It will be good for city breaks, in-bound tourism, culture, winter sun and ski. These three new routes bring to an all-time high," he said.
