Hotelplan’s Holiday Home Division (HHD) has launched a programme in Scotland for the first time as it looks to satisfy increased demand for domestic holidays.
HHD, which includes the Interhome and Interchalet brands offering 50,000 holiday homes and apartments in 31 countries, is also creating a new portal for agents.
The company is launching its first range of properties around Loch Ness as Scotland prepares to end the 14-day quarantine requirement for visitors from 57 countries on Friday (10 July).
Danny Waine, HHD’s commercial manager, said: “This is the latest phase in a project that the team has been working on for the last 18 months or so.
“In 2020, we have pivoted from being a strong inbound player in the UK holiday home market, to being a predominantly domestic holidays provider.
“Traditionally, the majority of guests staying in our 2,000 UK holiday homes are from Germany, France and Switzerland; however, this year 54% of our guests are Brits and we expect this strong domestic trend to continue throughout the rest of 2020.”
Loch Ness properties include loch-side cottages, homes and apartments with open availability for summer 2020.
“We’re increasing new product in the Loch Ness region on a weekly basis and we’re also looking to expand around Fort William, the Cairngorms and actively exploring opportunities throughout the rest of the UK too,” added Waine.
HHD’s new portal for agents includes filters to allow agents to search on categories such as being pet-friendly and accessibility, and access to the CASA Collection of luxury and unique villas. It can also be used to access commission reports and marketing materials.
Agents and operators will be automatically migrated to the new portal in the next few weeks.
