Jet2.com will launch flights to the Catalan city of Lleida from Stansted later this month.
The seasonal route, which will debut on December 23, will open up the city to British winter holidaymakers.
Weekly flights to the city in north east Catalonia will depart on Sundays for a three-month period.
Activities and pursuits available in the region include snowmobiling, dog-sledding, snowshoe excursions, heliskiing and hot air balloon journeys offering views of the Catalan Pyrenees.
Next year, Lleida will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Spain’s famous cross-country ski race the Marxa Beret (February 3) in which more than 1,000 people from across the world take part.
It takes place in the Pla de Beret ski region where there are slopes and itineraries for all abilities and features.
