G Adventures is increasing its range of tours in Europe with seven new trips being introduced for departures from May 2021.
The adventure operator only launched a collection of Europe tours last month and is now adding new itineraries to destinations such as Madeira, Cyprus, Greece, Iceland and Slovenia.
G Adventures said these itineraries were designed to offer trips to familiar short-haul destinations with “something a little different”, including hiking trips in the “great outdoors”.
The new additions bring the programme up to 16 tours with the first departures due to take place in March.
Stu Darnley, national sales manager at G Adventures, said: “The response from agents to the first set of tours has been incredibly positive, with destinations such as Crete and the Canary Islands selling particularly well.
“The addition of these seven new tours will further enhance our offering in Europe, allowing us to cover a more diverse range of destinations, which are much-loved by British travellers.
“Many agents know these destinations inside out and it’s refreshing for them to have a product that provides something a little different to what their customers expect.”
The new trips include hiking in Slovenia’s Julian Alps or the Portuguese island of Madeira, farm-to-table meals at a homestay in eastern Iceland, exploring castles and historic ruins in Cyprus, and tackling two of Mount Olympus’ highest peaks in northern Greece.
“The current UK lockdown is only enhancing pent-up demand, but means travellers are now looking past February for their next trip,” added Darnley.
“With hiking weather being favourable in these pre-season months in certain destinations, we’re expecting to see a pick up in our early departures from those who are keen to travel as soon as they can.”
