The Oxford Ski Company has bought rival luxury ski agency Summit Retreats with an eye to future growth.
Oxford founder Rupert Longsdon said the acquisition of the company, which was founded by Robin Quarrelle four years ago, would help drive expansion.
He added: “Our discerning clientele value our approach and knowledge and it is based on our honest and impartial advice we have built such an excellent relationship which has resulted in repeat business and referrals over the years.
“We were keen to take the business to the next level and our plans to expand and grow our client base further provided us with an excellent opportunity to acquire Summit Retreats which was particularly appealing as they shared the same values to ensure consistency in our approach and delivery.”
Quarrelle will be joining the Oxford Ski Company as part of the deal where he will be using his experience of working both in Verbier and Africa to help drive sales.
He will also focus on the top end of the chalet market within the Luxury Chalet Collection to cope with current demand, drive additional sales and acquire new international clients.
Longsdon said: “We’re excited with the direction we want to take the company forward together and with the experience and expertise of Robin, this will help grow The Oxford Ski Company’s share of the luxury ski market.”
