P&O Cruises has unveiled its winter 2020/2021 programme, featuring 206 new cruises – including new ship Iona’s first winter season.
Highlights of the programme include Iona’s maiden winter season, new seven-night Dubai and Arabian Gulf itineraries, additional overnight stays and a new maiden call to Qatar.
Pre-registration is now open for all the cruises.
Iona will open for sale to Caribbean, Baltic and Ligurian tier members of the P&O Cruises Peninsular Club from Friday, March 15 and on general sale from Monday, March 18.
The rest of the fleet will open for sale to Caribbean, Baltic and Ligurian tier members of the P&O Cruises Peninsular Club from Tuesday, March 19 and go on general sale from March 21 for cruises sailing to/from Southampton (excluding World Cruise and Grand Tours) and Dubai & Arabian Gulf fly cruises; and from March 22 for Caribbean fly-cruise, World Cruise, Classic Southern Hemisphere Journeys, Grand Tour and Exotic fly-cruise.
To celebrate the launch of the winter 2020/21 programme P&O is offering agents the chance to win one of two of the new cruises featured in the brochure.
In March agents can win a cruise of their choice to Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands and in April the winning cruise can be picked from the Dubai and Arabian Gulf itinerary. Agents need to register for the competition on the Shine Rewards Club website.
There is a deposit of 5% available on all cruises in the winter 2020/21 programme, available until April 29, combinable with P&O Cruises Select Price or Early Saver prices.
A 5% booking discount is applicable to new guests making a new Select Price booking from the new winter collection before April 29 and a 10% booking discount is available to past guests making a new Select Price booking from the new winter collection before April 29.
Additionally, on selected holidays booked before April 29 on cruises sailing to and from Southampton and when sharing a cabin with two full-paying adults, the third and fourth guests can sail from £1pp. Special fares are also available on school holidays and Dubai & Arabian Gulf and Caribbean fly-cruises.
Meanwhile the launch of the winter 2020/21 season is being supported by a new TV advertising campaign. Still featuring Rob Brydon’s character Huw and his fictional wife Jenny, the film is destination-focused, showcasing cultural experiences, with a number of evening scenes to highlight the extended time in port. The new advert will be rolled out from March 11, 2019.
Iona’s winter deployment means guests can “extend their summer” by sailing south to Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands for winter sun as well as visit cities in Northern Europe.
Day-into-night visits and overnight stays are regular features of Iona’s winter season. With longer time in port guests are encouraged to get off the beaten track and really get to know a destination,” P&O said.
Prices start from £899pp for a 14-night Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands cruise or £499pp for a seven-night Northern European City Escape adventure from Southampton.
In addition, past guests booking a Select Price 2020/2021 winter cruise by April 29 will receive a 10% discount.
P&O president Paul Ludlow said: “We were delighted with the positive feedback from our guests following our first Dubai and Arabian Gulf holidays, so Oceana will now offer new seven-night holidays for her third season in the region.
“We have never offered more variety and value for our winter cruise holidays.
“There is so much to choose from in this winter 2020/21 collection, be it Iona’s first winter sun escapes from Southampton, adventures in iconic Northern European cities or exploring South America on Aurora’s Grand Tour.
“Holidays in the Caribbean will be a popular choice too – and wherever guests choose to go, there will be an exciting new range of experiences and excursions to enjoy ashore.
“With the removal of daily discretionary service charges across the fleet, and great value drinks packages now on offer as well, our guests will be able to have a great value holiday of a lifetime.”
Why choose P&O Cruises? The decision lies in the choice! We like to treat guests to a taste of the good life, or rather the great life!
