Travel and event management company The Appointment Group (Tag) has revealed a new brand image and recruited industry stalwarts Ruth Hilton and Terry Williamson.
Tag said the new “bold and modernised” brand image was more reflective of the company’s values. It is adopting and reinforcing its name as Tag across the business as well as a new logo, strapline and website.
The new tagline, ‘Experience More’ is intended illustrate “experiences” as the common factor that connects all five divisions of the group – corporate, touring, events, private travel and film and media.
The project was a collaborative effort between employees, customers and partners, Tag said.
Steve Barrass, chief executive, Tag said: “This rebrand is an important milestone in Tag’s history.
It is a necessary step ensuring Tag retains its established values, beliefs and reputation whilst developing a new and modern identity which is essential in such a rapidly evolving and busy industry.”
The new image follows recent investment from private equity firm Apiary Capital and the announcement of the new board of directors, with the appointment of non-executive chairman Terry Williamson (former JacTravel chief executive) announced earlier this month.
Tag intends to accelerate growth in 2019 through investment in technology, new hires, acquisition and expansion into new global markets.
Meanwhile, former Trafalgar and Insight Vacations sales and business development director Ruth Hilton has joined Tag as commercial contractor for the private clients division.
The former head of sales and business development at Gold Medal joins a former colleague in Barrass, who was has previously held the role of Gold Medal chief executive.
