Passengers on Virgin Voyages’ first ship will be able to order champagne by just shaking their phone.
Scarlet Lady, which is due to go into service in April 2020, will offer an on-demand champagne delivery service, called Shake for Champagne, through the passenger app allowing them to make an order from anywhere onboard the ship.
Nathan Rosenberg, chief marketing officer for Virgin Voyages, said: “There’s nothing more luxurious than having champagne at your beck and call or even a shake.”
The champagne, a 750ml bottle of Moet Chandon Imperial, will be delivered in a branded red Virgin bucket with two glasses.
Virgin has also unveiled its latest onboard venue – a champagne lounge and caviar bar called Sip offering glasses of bubbles from $9 up to vintage bottles priced at $1,000. Sip will also offer afternoon “high” tea to reflect Virgin’s British roots.
The line is running a limited time booking offer – passengers who book a April or May 2020 sailing by 30 November will receive a free special Virgin Voyages limited edition bottle of Moet Chandon Imperial in their cabin.
We’re completely rethinking how entertainment at sea is done with carefully curated, original and uniquely Virgin experiences.
