Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have expanded their schedule of seasonal flights to New York for winter 2016 including the introduction of New Year’s Eve breaks.
The airline and operator has been slowly building up the number of flights to Newark Liberty International airport since first introducing transatlantic services in 2008.
This year’s schedule will include a total of 24 trips from five UK airports: Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle, East Midlands and Glasgow.
The operator is extending all the breaks to four nights and is also adding extra departures in the October half-term period, as well as offering a wider range of hotels in the Big Apple.
Jet2.com chief executive Steve Heapy said: “This is our most ambitious programme yet with more choice of flights and hotels than ever before.
“New York really is something to shout about, which is why we are thrilled to be able to offer customers this experience direct from five local airports.
“I’m sure these breaks, be it shopping, October half-term, Thanksgiving and the newly added New Year packages will be a real cause for celebration.”
The New Year’s Eve breaks will depart from Leeds and Newcastle on December 29, and Manchester on December 30.
Shopping and Thanksgiving trips to New York will run in late November and early December with two departures from both East Midlands and Glasgow, and four flights each from Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle.
Jet2 has added a second flight from Leeds Bradford for October half term on October 27, while a Manchester service on October 23 has been introduced for 2016. There are also flights from Glasgow on October 16 and Newcastle on October 23.
The airline and tour operator began flying to New York from its home airport Leeds Bradford eight years ago when it initially ran four direct transatlantic services.
Four-night packages with Jet2CityBreaks to New York start at £759pp.
