More than 100 destinations in South East Asia and Australasia will be more accessible to UK travellers thanks to a new deal between Singapore Airlines and Flybe.
Sheldon Hee, Singapore Airlines’ general manager UK and Ireland, said the deal means consumers will be able to use 19 UK regional airports to connect with the Asian airline’s long haul flights via Heathrow and Manchester as all as Amsterdam, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Dusseldorf.
The feeder flights will also coincide flights to destinations in the US following Singapore’s decision to launch a flight from Manchester to Houston.
He added through ticketing will mean automatic baggage transfers as well as consumer protection in event of either leg of the journey being disrupted while Air Pasenger Duty will be reduced.
Agents will be able to benefit from easy booking via GDS with a single price given for both fares.
Hee said: “Singapore Airlines is very pleased to announce its new partnership with Flybe.
“It enables us to provide greater opportunities for UK customers to access the high-quality customer service and comfort that Singapore Airlines is known for, all from their local airport.
“This collaboration builds on our efforts to find new ways for UK customers to access our flights from closer to home; adding to the coach-fly and rail-fly partnerships we pioneered in recent years.”
