Thomas Cook Airlines is launching services from Luton in summer 2017 and adding 150,000 seats to its capacity.
There will be a total of four new weekly inaugural flights to Ibiza on Friday, Mahon on Saturday, Corfu on Sunday and Palma on Monday.
Thomas Cook Airlines’ director of sales and planning Henry Sunley said: “Operating out of Luton matches our ambitions to grow our airline.
“With our £100 million investment in cabin interiors, 25 new Airbus A321s entering our fleet, and James Martin meals onboard, we’ve worked with our airport and airline partners to build a really great programme for summer 2017.
“It meets the changing demands of UK holidaymakers, and ensures that Brits can get great summer sun on a quality airline that puts its customers first.”
Simon Harley, head of business development for Luton airport, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming Thomas Cook to Luton airport next year.
“We are currently investing £110 million to transform the airport by increasing capacity and improving our terminal.
“Thomas Cook’s arrival will ensure that passengers not only enjoy the best possible experience at the airport, but also have an even greater choice of destinations.”
The new flights will provide just some of the 100,000 seats the airline is adding to the Balearics and Canaries in time for next summer.
Other new destinations include Malta and Naples from Birmingham, Alicante from Glasgow and Split, Malaga and Mykonos from Manchester.
New long-haul flights include a mini-series of four flights from Belfast to Cancun while the frequency of flights to Orlando from Gatwick is being increased to three a week.
