Virgin Atlantic has appointed Emma Jones as its new VP for UK sales.
Jones will be responsible for the airline’s UK sales and revenue performance, with direct accountability for all UK corporate and agency sales, working closely with our joint venture partner Delta Air Lines.
She will report to Joe Thompson SVP, global sales and distribution.
Thompson said: “I’m delighted to welcome Emma to this very important role. Emma brings 20 years of highly-relevant travel experience to the team and has great insights into the complex dynamics of airline sales.
“Emma will play a critical part in delivering our revenue growth ambitions, as we continue to leverage the customer benefits of our joint venture with Delta and prepare to launch new transatlantic services from Manchester.”
Emma Jones commented: “I’m thrilled to be joining such a strong sales team, building on Virgin Atlantic’s already strong trade, corporate and industry body relationships to drive profitable growth."
Prior to joining EY Jones spent time at British Airways, travel management company HRG, GSK and Credit Suisse.
