TTG is excited to announce the launch of a new 2023 Diversity and Inclusion in Travel programme, with seven impressive partners who are working to champion equality within the travel industry.
Launching this month, the new initiative includes partners: Avis Budget Group; Celebrity Cruises; Eurostar; JetBlue; The Travel Network Group, Tui and Visit Tampa Bay.
The programme comprises a host of events, including a new accessibility focused seminar in October as well as an LGBT seminar, two Travel Prides in winter and summer and a new Travel Pride Champions awards programme.
Both seminars will be aimed at educating the trade on how to sell and market to the LGBT community or those with accessibility concerns, while also providing product knowledge and training tips.
Meanwhile TTG’s annual D&I programme will also include a series of Diversity Breakfasts, with senior leaders from across the sector invited to hear from a host of speakers representing different aspects of diversity, equity and inclusion.
TTG managing director Matt Roclawski said: “TTG remains unwavering in our commitment to striving for a smarter, better, fairer travel industry and our focus on championing diversity and inclusion in travel remains as strong now as when we first launched TTG LGBT back in 2015. We’re excited to bring to life another fantastic D&I programme this year, along with our fantastic partners.”

“We know we can only become the best vehicle rental company in the world by promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within our workforce, consumer base, communities, and supply chain. We make progress in these areas every day through key programs across the company and it is important we share those developments with our trade partners.”
“It is important that we play our part in continuing to educate ourselves… we recognise programmes like TTG Diversity and Inclusion in Travel as extremely beneficial. It helps us to put a spotlight on the things that truly are important to our brand, and we get to work with other likeminded partners in the process.”
“The partnership allows us to share our successes with our industry colleagues, and learn from them at the same time. The travel industry has come a long way but there is always more to be done and TTG’s programme for diversity and inclusion brings together a wide-reaching pool of knowledge and learnings that can be shared across the industry to inspire real change.”
“The greatest resource we have is our people. We have so much to learn from each other and it starts with ensuring we can all fully and meaningfully participate in conversations, in the workplace and in the world at large. It’s important to support everyone.”
“We talk all the time about best practice and what we actually mean is effective practice – how to change our behaviours to support and represent our customers, reflecting what our customers are: a diverse and entrepreneurial community. TTG’s Diversity and Inclusion in Travel programme is aligned with our own D&I strategy - we look forward to being on this journey with TTG and share effective practice ideas with other businesses from our industry.”
“The partnership means we can share successes with our industry colleagues and learn and collaborate with them at the same time. The travel industry has made great strides in being a more diverse and inclusive place, but there is always work to be done.”
“We believe that travel should be accessible and inclusive for all and are immensely proud to be part of this programme for the second year. We want to continue to learn and understand from our travel industry partners, from the experts, to discuss the most effective practice, to highlight what we are already doing, and find out if we can improve. To share experiences and to work with TTG and the UK travel industry to ensure we continue to be the open, accessible, diverse and welcoming destination we strive to be.”
