Beginning at 2pm, futurologist James Wallman will explore how the sector will change – and what firms need to do now to ensure they’re ready for the new world.
This session will be followed by a focus on the aviation sector and how the flying experience – from airports to aircraft – can adapt post Covid-19, with speakers including Airlines UK chief executive Tim Alderslade, Karen Dee, chief executive of the Airports Operators Association and aviation analyst John Grant.
After a short break the seminar will return at 4pm with a panel of legal experts including Farina Azam, partner at Kemp Little, Abta’s head of legal services Simon Bunce and Joanna Kolatsis, director at Themis Advisory. The panel will explain what companies should be focussing on now to ensure they’re in the best position for when bookings start coming in.
The afternoon will conclude with a session dedicated to “the great refund debate” as agents and operators discuss what the sector might look like after the coronavirus crisis, and how the travel protection landscape will alter.
Speakers including Gary Lewis, chief executive of The Travel Network Group; Joanne Dooey, president of the Scottish Passenger Agents’ Association; and John Bevan, chief executive B2B, dnata Travel Europe, will discuss what needs to happen to win back consumer trust – and crucially, how the industry will change as a result as we emerge from this crisis.
TTG has also introduced a new element to the seminar.
